Cumbernauld Theatre is excited to announce an upcoming Main Stage production of “The Events” by David Greig, scheduled for October 2024. “The Events” is a powerful and thought-provoking play that delves into themes of community, forgiveness, and incomprehensible brutality in the aftermath of a traumatic event. We are seeking a talented and visionary Director to lead this production and bring the play’s themes to life on our stage.

The invitations to Pitch will be issued no later than Friday 1 December 2023, giving applicants time to prepare. Please note all directors invited to take part in the pitch sessions will be paid £65 per pitch.

Furthermore, the Executive Producer overseeing this production will be Michael Duke, who will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, ensuring that the production will receive the necessary support and resources to succeed.
