Current Opportunities

At Cumbernauld Theatre we deliver a year-round live performing arts and activities programme: developing, producing and delivering new creative partnerships, projects and a creative portfolio programme that fully delivers creative success in terms of artistic excellence, community engagement, inclusive participation and social impact.

We aim to work with a range of actors, technicians, stage managers, directors, designers, theatre-makers and writers across the year. We have committed to supporting local talent and provide opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds. We value creativity, difference, lived experience and are committed to tackling the current underrepresentation of diverse voices across our programme.

As a regularly funded organisation we will always recruit for castings, creative roles, crew members through open calls. Wil will always ask creatives to pitch their ideas for shows in response to our creative briefs which are co-created with our communities. All of these opportunities and more can be found here, so check back regularly to see what opportunities are currently available.

Cumbernauld Theatre Trust and Visible Fictions are looking to support a daring theatrical idea to be created and presented this festive season on the main stage of Lanternhouse in Cumbernauld. The chosen idea will be produced and presented for this coming December, and Visible Fictions will artistically help and support you to deliver it.

We love a great story and so telling a good story should be at the heart of the experience you want to create for our audiences. Is there a story are you and your team yearning to tell this Christmas? What story do you think audiences will be excited to hear this festive season?

Working with us

Cumbernauld Theatre Trust has made a commitment to centring lived experience across our work. We value diversity across our stages, staff and audiences.

We are dedicated to creating an equitable and inclusive working environment where our staff are empowered to do their best work. Therefore, we invite those we work with to let us know about their access needs and we are openly inviting our creative community  to help us understand any barriers we may be unaware of.

As an organisation we aim to work from a person centred approach which means we strongly believe that you are the expert of your own needs and lived experience. If you would like to discuss any access needs or barriers before applying for any of our current opportunities please contact
