How we keep each other safe when visiting Lanternhouse.

We are delighted to be welcoming you into our exciting new venue and have spent time ensuring that we have the appropriate safety measures in place to make your visit to the venue as safe and enjoyable as possible. The following will provide you with more information on what to expect during your visit.  All events will be presented in line with current Scottish Government guidelines. The guidelines are changing regularly, so make sure to keep checking for the most current information.   

Covid vaccination passports are not required to visit or attend an event or class in our building.

General information

Following new government guidelines, it is no longer essential to wear a mask during your visit to Lanternhouse, but you can continue to do so voluntarily. Please be advised that we will continue to have hand sanitiser stations around the building for those customers wishing to use them.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, such as a fever, a persistent cough or a loss of taste or smell, please do stay at home and follow Government guidelines. The symptoms to look out for are listed on the NHS Scotland website – click here to read  

We will continue to follow govenment guidelines and if this guidance changes, we will update this information accordingly. 


We have been ‘See It Safely’ approved.

We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely‘ mark, administered in Scotland by Federation of Scottish Theatre. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Scottish Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.
