Doors Open Day: Tour

Get behind the scenes at Lanternhouse! Access backstage areas, stand on the theatre’s stage, admire your reflection in the dressing room mirrors and interact with our friendly staff.

This state-of-the-art venue houses two performance spaces – a 300 seat auditorium and a studio theatre with capacity of 70 to 100 seats, a dance studio for classes, a café /bistro and a bespoke 84-seat cinema. North Lanarkshire Council’s Education and Families manage the café providing inclusive employability training opportunities as part of the service design.

Doors Open Day offers visitors to the theatre a unique opportunity to access areas of the theatre and cinema not normally open to the public. Visit to find out more!
