As an award-winning theatre company, Lanternhouse is where we create our own in-house theatre productions and co-productions and where we present the very best drama, music, comedy and dance from visiting artists and performing arts companies working in Scotland and further afield.
Lanternhouse is a performing arts centre jointly managed by North Lanarkshire Council and Cumbernauld Theatre, a third sector arts charity.
Our Take Part classes are for everyone (yes, that means you). From drama to dance, sensory play to arts, crafting and circus performance, there is bound to be something to get your creativity flowing.
The new Lanternhouse café is now open.
It’s tech week, which means our new festive show opens this weekend. Take a peek some recent rehearsal snaps!

We are looking for JOYOUS movers, shakers and local dance heroes to represent the energy and diversity of Aberdeen. Hip-Hop, Bhangra, Jive, Northern Soul, Contemporary, Flamenco, Highland Dancing, Happy Hardcore… anything goes.
