Classical Music
Presented by Cumbernauld Theatre Company, Dunedin Consort and Ripple Arts in collaboration with choreographer Marc Brew
SONATA
noun: a piece, played
What happens to our bodies when we listen to music? Which of our muscles flex, which senses flicker, which pathways are triggered? SONATA explores these instinctive, creative impulses through a playful sequence of music and movement, uniting the musicians of Scotland’s leading baroque ensemble Dunedin Consort with award-winning choreographer Marc Brew and five disabled and non-disabled dancers for the very first time. Join us for a compelling evening of instrumental music and improvisatory dance, as we ask: what happens when we all, simply, play?
