Each of our Lanternhouse Laughs events is a unique comedy highlight in our calendar, hosted by its very own compère and featuring 3 hand-picked comedy-circuit favourites, guaranteeing to bring the (Lantern)house down!

The third in the series, April’s Lanternhouse Laughs is compèred by Liam Withnail with headliner, Connor Burns.

Liam who already has an impressive arsenal of awards and praise on the UK and International comedy circuits. Liam’s ability to effortlessly smash an atmosphere into any room has deservedly earned him the current title of the Best MC at the Scottish Comedy Awards.

And here’s the line-up:

Kathleen Hughes is a Glaswegian comedian who began performing stand-up in January 2020, acknowledged as possibly the worst time to become a comedian. Her writing has been featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News and BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack. This is Kathleen’s second appearance at Lanternhouse Laughs.

Amanda Hursy
Amanda is a new and raw voice in comedy who is not afraid to speak her mind and tell it like it is. Her own experiences,misfortunes and almost triumphs are the back drop of her story telling and love letter to her home city of Glasgow.

Headlining tonight’s Lanternhouse Laughs is Connor Burns.
Connor Burns – one of the most exciting emerging acts on the Scottish comedy circuit, Connor is fresh from his debut Solo show in the Edinburgh Fringe and supporting top acts like Gary Meikle and Larry Dean on tour. Catch the Scottish comedy award nominee while you can.
