Julia Murray – Robin
Julia trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is making her professional debut. Credits whilst training include: Oolie/Donna in City of Angels, Pierre/Actor Musician in The Baker’s Wife, Ensemble in Assassins, Heather in Don’t Wait Too Long, Please, Actor Musician in Pippin, Soloist in Bernstein 100: Mass (Royal Scottish National Opera).

Having the opportunity to work with a brilliant cast, creatives and crew everyday.

Wrapping up warm, frosty clear days, Hot Chocolate, Christmas dinner (obviously) and being able to see my family!

Any fun festive traditions?
On Christmas Eve, our Grandpa would make all of the grandchildren a treasure hunt full of riddles each to find their presents! They were so difficult we could be there for hours looking!

All the dinner essentials: Roast beef, tatties, roast veggies, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in a blanket, drowned in gravy!

Amy Helena – L J
Amy Helena is an actor and theatre maker based in Scotland, a recent graduate from RCS. Since graduating she has worked with Traverse Theatre (Class Act) and Storyhouse (Antigone). She strongly identifies herself as an actor that happens to be deaf, her deafness has nothing to do with her abilities as an artist and her work.

Favourite part about working on the production
Being surrounded by and working with such a talented and funny group of people. I have never laughed so hard in a rehearsal room before.

Spending time with family and friends, stepping on fresh snow, eating good food, winter sunrises, looking at all the Christmas lights.

White Christmas – Bing Crosby.
Favourite festive movie?
Miracle on 34th Street.
Any fun festive traditions?
Wandering round the Christmas markets with a mulled wine and a crepe.

Has to be my Irish Gran’s stuffing recipe!
First impressions of our new venue, Lanternhouse?
It’s a brilliant new building with fantastic facilities. It’s been great rehearsing in the space and exploring the building. I think there will be lots of exciting projects coming out of Lanternhouse. They also do a good hot chocolate in the cafe.

Favourite part about working on the production?
There are many, but when working on a new show, especially a Christmas run. You become so close with the cast and creatives. You spend many hours together and with this bunch of very talented humans, it has been so much fun. They have had be rolling on the floor in fits of laughter daily. I can tell Christmas this year will be one to remember.
Top 5 things about the festive season?
Getting the jumpers back out and being all wrapped up and cosy, belting Mariah Carey without guilt, daily hot chocolates, watching countless xmas movies and having quality streets for breakfast.
Favourite festive song?
‘All i want for Christmas is you’ by Mariah Carey… of course.

The Holiday.

Exciting new space. I’m buzzing to be part of their first Christmas show and look forward to coming to watch and support future projects.
