This website is owned by Cumbernauld Theatre Trust and applies to the use of www.lanternhousearts.org

We have the right to amend these Conditions on occasion to reflect changes in market conditions affecting the business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods and changes in legislation and regulatory requirements. These Conditions shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

This website is subject to the following terms and conditions and you should not use this website unless you agree to accept these conditions. 

  • We accept no liability to any person for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of reliance upon material contained on this site.
  • We are not responsible for any third party linked sites and any content provided. The inclusion of a link does not represent an endorsement from Cumbernauld Theatre Trust. Third party sites have different terms and conditions as well as privacy policies and if in doubt, check with the third party.
  • Performance details are subject to change without prior notice. We accept no responsibility for the accuracy of information or the material accessed via the website.
  • The material on the Website is protected by copyright and the copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material on this Website is owned by and shall at all times remain the property of Cumbernauld Theatre Trust or the property of our licensors or business partners as appropriate.
  1. Conditions of Sale  

Purchasing Tickets – Conditions of Sale 

All tickets are sold subject to availability and to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions should be read carefully prior to purchase and any queries relating to them should be raised with us prior to purchase, as purchase of tickets constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

  • A contract for tickets will exist when we accept your order, whether that order is made online, in person or via the telephone. 
     
  • We must be provided with contact details for every purchase of tickets, in order that we can contact you if performance details change. 
     
  • If you have any access requirements, please make these known at the time of booking. 
     
  • Wherever possible we notify of any age restrictions for our shows and performances. Where no age restriction is shown, it is the customers responsibility to assess suitability for children.  
  • We reserve the right to place restrictions on the number of tickets ordered. 
     
  • Ticket Prices are advertised via a number of channels and are provided by us on the basis of information available to us. We are not obliged to conclude any Contract at the prices advertised and reserve the right to make price changes without notice – including introduction of discounts or special offers. 
     
  • It is your responsibility to check your tickets for mistakes as they cannot always be rectified after purchase. Please check your tickets on receipt carefully and contact us immediately if there is a mistake. We cannot be responsible for any ticket that is lost, stolen or destroyed. 
  • It is the Customer’s responsibility to determine whether an Event has been cancelled or rescheduled. Where cancellation occurs the Venue will make all reasonable endeavours to notify Customers of the change, but cannot guarantee that all will be informed before the date of the Event 
     
  • You must hold a valid ticket to gain entrance to an event. The ticket must be retained by the Customer whilst in the Venue and must be made available for inspection if requested by the Venue staff. Failure to produce a valid Ticket may result in a request for you to leave the Venue. 
  • In the event of a performance being cancelled or rescheduled, the face value of tickets and any booking fee will be refunded.   
     
  • Latecomers may have to wait until a suitable break in the performance for admission.   
     
  • The programme may be amended without notice. Cumbernauld Theatre Trust reserves the right to refuse entry.   
     
  • Cumbernauld Theatre Trust reserves the right to cancel or abandon the performance/event for reasons beyond its control without notice.   
     
  • The performance space is subject to change.   
  • The use of understudies or other cast members than advertised shall not change these terms and conditions and cannot be considered a change that a purchaser of a ticket would not reasonably expect. 
  1. Ticket Prices and Payment 
  • Special offers and ticket deals are subject to availability, for a limited time only and do not apply to tickets already purchased for an event. 
  • The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time we accept your order. All prices set are inclusive of any taxes and fees. The customer will be offered the option of having tickets posted to them at an additional charge, otherwise they will be held for collection. 
     
  • You must state any discount to which you think you might be entitled at the time of booking, including any concessions. Concessions vary according to performance and may not always be available. Proof of identity/entitlement may be asked for at the time of booking, ticket collection or at the performance itself. Failure to produce reasonable proof of entitlement to a concession/discount may invalidate the Ticket and result in refusal of admittance or a request to leave the Venue. 
     
  • Ticket prices are subject to change and the Venue reserves the right to change the prices of tickets at any time. 
     
  1. Delivery and Collection of Tickets 
  • There is a postage charge of £1.50 for any tickets which customers request to be posted out. 
     
  • No transaction fee applies if you book and collect in person at our Box Office. 
     
  • Payments can be made in cash at the Box Office, or via credit/debit card in person at the Box Office, via the telephone or online. We accept all major credit and debit cards. 
     
  • Tickets will not be released until the full payment has been received. 
     
  • Tickets will be stored for collection at the Box Office, unless otherwise instructed. 
  • Where tickets are to be posted, we will send tickets to the address specified. We accept no liability for or responsibility for tickets which are mislaid or lost in the postage system. 
     
  1. Refunds and Exchange 
  • Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, unless a performance or workshop is cancelled.  If the event has sold out and we have a waiting list, we will try to find someone to buy your tickets, if you let us know in advance that you cannot attend.  
     
  • In the event of a performance being cancelled or rescheduled, the face value of tickets and any booking fee will be refunded.   
     
  • Refunds shall only be made to the person who purchased the tickets and, wherever possible, will be made using the same method as was used to purchase the tickets except, at our discretion, where payment was made by cash. These terms and conditions do not and shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.  
  • Ticket exchanges, for the same event, are available up to 24 hours before the performance. Tickets can be exchanged for a seat of the same value. If a discount has been applied to the tickets, then this will only be honoured within the original terms and conditions of the offer. 
     
  • If the tickets are exchanged for tickets of a higher value the difference in value must be paid. If the tickets are exchanged for tickets of a lower value the difference might be retained by the producer of the event. 
  1. Conditions of Admission 
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission to a customer or to ask them to leave the venue where reasonable circumstances such as health and safety matters, licensing reasons or where a ticket is found to be invalid or void.  
     
  • We also reserve the right to remove a ticket holder who: 
    • has behaved in the venue in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of the venue has, or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors; 
    • has behaved in any way that provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace; or used threatening, abusive or insulting words to staff or other customers; 
    • is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or where appropriate fails to produce proof of identity or age when requested to do so.  
  1. Restrictions 
  • At the performance, the use of photographic or recording equipment is strictly prohibited. 
     
  • Mobile telephones must be turned off during performances. 
  • Food and alcohol may only be consumed in authorised areas. 
     
  • Smoking is not permitted in the theatre or public spaces within the area of the building. 
     
  1. Health and Safety 
  • The health and safety of our customers, performers and employees are very important to us and we require all customers to comply with health and safety law, safety announcements and any venue regulations or requirements that may be in place.  
  • We use special effects during some of our events, these may include sound, audio visual effects, pyrotechnics and lighting effects such as strobe lights. If you have any specific concerns, please raise then at the time you purchase your tickets as we cannot be responsible for any customer effects during performances.
