Set, Costume and Puppet Designer
Janis has worked for many years designing theatre, dance and opera productions and site specific installations for companies and spaces all over Britain, and as resident designer at Plymouth Theatre Royal, Worcester Swan Theatre, Derby Playhouse and South Hill Park, Bracknell.
She enjoys interesting collaborations and spaces, which have included an abandoned hospital in Birmingham, the banks of the Water of Leith, and Methil Docks.
Recent work includes ‘Peace Cranes’ a massive installation of 140,000 origami cranes for the Just Festival in Edinburgh, visited by over 7.000 people over autumn 2021, and -cur-rently touring- the Scottish Opera’s ‘Opera Highlights’ 2022.
