Our re-imagined production of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, written by Ross McKay and co-produced with Visible Fictions, will be staged at Lanternhouse from 29 November to 24 December. Meet the four stars of the show.

Robbie Stevenson
Anthony graduated from Performing Arts Studio Scotland in 2021. With a particular interest in film and television, he is passionate about pursuing a career in screen acting. He especially enjoys roles that are physically demanding and is enthusiastic about the interplay between music and drama. Born in Dipolog City, Philippines, Anthony has been fortunate to travel from a young age and has ambitions to explore more of the world through his performance work. His favourite role to play so far has been ‘Cameron Burns’ in PASS’s adaptation of Beautiful Burnout.

Megan McGuire
Storyteller, Squire and many more characters
Megan McGuire is from Glasgow and a graduate of the BA Musical Theatre course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Theatre credits include Gonzalo in “The Tempest” (Tron Theatre), The witch in “Hansel & Gretel ” and Eris in “Sinbad” (tours of the UAE with Kevali Productions); Veluptua in “Treasure Island” (Motherwell Theatre); The Blue Fairy in “Pinocchio” (Geez A Break Productions). Screen credits include Mabel in “Outlander” (Starz);“What teaching taught me” (advert for the Scottish Government). She is also a singer and clarinettist.
Stephanie Macgaraidh

Steph is an actor, singer-songwriter and musician from Fife, who graduated from Guildford School of Acting in 2018. Having lived in London since graduation, she is thrilled to finally be performing back in the homeland!

This week we welcome MHz and collaborator Hannah Finn in residency at Lanternhouse to work on their latest project [dream] ENGINE. This new work, produced by Feral Arts, harnesses the ethereal quality of dreams through immersive AV, somatic sound fields and the art of contortion.

Led by Amanda Glover and Fraser Morrison, Operation: LEGACY is a community project, in which young writers, devisors and performers are invited to create a piece of performance work which will be showcased in our Main Auditorium. We will collaborate with a local composer/musician and a movement director to explore the wealth of storytelling possibilities which this topic brings to the table.
