Today Cumbernauld Theatre Company announces the cast for its new concert series ‘Encore! A Musical Theatre Concert’, a brand-new unique, intimate concert, brought to life by Cumbernauld Theatre Company.
Encore! celebrates the best in musical theatre with a sparkling evening of performances from talented singers across Scotland. Whether you’re a fan of Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, or Rogers & Hammerstein, this show has something for everyone and is perfect for all musical theatre lovers.
The show will be brought to life by a glittering cast of theatre talent including Lois Craig, Gill Deas, Lewis Kerr, Niamh Osborne, Stephanie MacGaraidh and Robin Mackenzie, with Creative and Musical Direction by Fraser Morrison.
Encore! is more than just a concert – it’s a vibrant celebration of the magic of musical theatre. We’ve brought together an incredible cast who will take the audience on a journey through the most beloved songs from the world of musicals. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or new to musicals, Encore! promises to be a memorable night filled with the best of music from this much-loved genre. Ginger and Jester Productions announces the cast for its upcoming panto at Cumbernauld Theatre, Baltic, written by Jerry Taylor. The lineup includes Alex Robertson of Still Game fame and two talented graduates of the local New College Lanarkshire, making their panto debuts on the Cumbernauld stage.

Chief Executive Sarah Price is to step down this summer after seven years, having led Cumbernauld Theatre through one of the most transformative chapters in its history.
Patricia Stead, former Executive Director and co-CEO of the Tron Theatre in Glasgow, will join Cumbernauld Theatre Trust as Interim Chief Executive later this month.

Two Cumbernauld Theatre co-productions have been nominated for Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland (CATS). These nominations underscore the success of the organisation’s pioneering commissioning model, but the withdrawal of Creative Scotland’s Multi-Year Funding means all original theatre-making by Cumbernauld Theatre has stopped.
