Cumbernauld Theatre Trust is seeking multiple Trustees including a new Chair of the Board. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of Scotland’s leading producing theatres with a vibrant portfolio of professional in-house and visiting theatre, music, dance, comedy, cinema and community engagement. We are a performing arts charity with an appetite for change and growth and are looking for Trustees who are passionate about theatre and believe in its transformative and empowering potential.
You will bring new ideas and fresh perspectives, adding value to our strands of work. Your contributions will positively impact the communities we serve in Cumbernauld and the breadth of North Lanarkshire. You will have the desire to make a difference to these communities, joining us in our onward journey of development in the delivery of an innovative, engaging, relevant arts programme for a new purpose-built venue.
We encourage applications from those typically under represented on boards and from those who feel that they can bring additional and alternative experiences and perspectives. We are looking for good communicators with sound knowledge of business planning and the arts industry in Scotland. Skills and experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial in helping us to develop our programme:

People came together at Lanternhouse on Sunday 10 May for the first of our Community Gatherings, a free day of food, film, music and creative activity celebrating global majority cultures. The event welcomed people of all ages to take part, try something new and spend time together.
